Chapelier Fou - Fritz Lang

In a factory, thousands are working without a pause. One of them decides to break out to find where he comes from. it's a personal work I did for one year in my free-time. I based my story on the music of Chapelier Fou.
Inspired by german expressionism and of course Fritz Lang's Metropolis, but also mechanism of Jean Tinguely or looney tunes backgrounds. The whole project was done entirely in After Effects: illustration, animation, editing and compositing.
